at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons and Martyrs' Shrine

Now in its 26th year, First Light is an award-winning, must-see holiday event with a great lineup of family activities and live musical performances, all amidst the spectacular glow of thousands of candles.

How to buy tickets: From the menu below, select the date you wish to attend, and how many adults, seniors, students and youth tickets you want to purchase. ***Please note that all sales are final.** Then secure your spots in add-on experiences by adding a ticket per person for: Candlelight Chorus (Fridays only) and the Story Behind the Tradition (behind-the-scenes) experiences.

How to book a holiday meal: Start by adding First Light admission tickets for your entire party. Then scroll down to "Add a dining experience at Restaurant Sainte-Marie" and add the number of adult and child meals you require, along with your preferred main course and seating time (4:30 p.m. or 6:30 p.m.) from the drop down menu. View the full menu . Advance reservations are highly recommended as space for walk-ins is limited.

Free admission: Children 5 and under get in for free. The following groups also don't have to pay admission, but must present valid ID at our admission express lane upon arrival: First Nations, Métis and Inuit people; season pass holders; members of the Canadian Armed forces; a support person accompanying a paid guest with a disability. Please only add paid admission to your order.

First Light Retreat Package: Enjoy priority access, explore the candlelit historic site, then retreat to your private waterfront cabin for an overnight stay inspired by comfort, heritage, and winter wonder. Each stay booked on a First Light night includes: two tickets to First Light with on-site parking and a custom goodie lantern featuring a First Light branded reusable mug valid for two hot chocolates and two popcorns. Cabin guests are also invited to enjoy an exclusive experience in the longhouse before event doors open.
