Fort William. Historical Park. Preserving the Past While Building the Future

Fort William Historic Park offers year-round festivals and events, an RV and tent campground, in-person, virtual and overnight educational programs, and wedding and conference facilities.

Day Camp Programs:

Voyageur Discorery Camp, age 8-9, July 14-18 or August 18-22: Learn about French, Scottish and Anishinaabe cultures and lifestyles during the fur trade from Fort William’s inhabitants.

Young Interpreter Program, ages 12-14, July 21-25 or August 5-8: Become a historic Fort William character from 1815! Learn in-depth skills for interpreting history, crafting various artisan items, interacting with visitors, and many more valuable skills. An assigned Fort William mentor will support you during this experiential journey.

Skills of the Fur Trade, ages 10-12, July 28-August 1: Campers will learn more advanced fur trade era skills including learning an artisan trade, cooking a historic food dish, and other skills important to keeping Fort William running.

Robots, Bricks and Toys, ages 8-9, August 11-15: Curious minds will enjoy a week of fun as they learn about new ways to build objects, the history of toys, work as a team on a shared project, and more.
