Experience comfort and history with an overnight stay in one of our brand-new, four-season cabins—nestled on the historic grounds of Discovery Harbour, on the shores of beautiful Georgian Bay. Each climate controlled cabin offers a rustic, inviting atmosphere for two guests. Step outside to your private firepit for peaceful evenings under the stars. Just a short walk away, you'll find modern washrooms and full shower facilities for your convenience.

Living history included: Each cabin booking includes admission to Discovery Harbour, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Simply present your confirmation email at admissions. Step back in time, to an era of sailors, soldiers, and shipwrecks! Meet costumed interpreters, step aboard historic vessels, watch historic demonstrations, and wander through more than 30 acres of history.

Free add-on experiences: Available daily from July 6 to September 6 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. every half hour, book any of the free historical experience as part of your stay by adding them below.

  • Learn historical firestarting at your cabin: Book a 30-minute session with a historical interpreter at your cabin firepit, to learn how to start a fire using a flint and striker, and a bow and spindle.
  • Discover 19th-century British games: In this 20‑minute session with a historical interpreter, learn how to play historic games like Nine Men’s Morris, Table Skittles, Devil Among the Tailors, and quoits. Perfect for families with kids!
  • Ghost Tours: Explore the darker side of history on this 1.5–2 hour guided tour. Join us Saturday evenings for chilling stories, local legends, and mysteries that come alive after dark. Each cabin reservation includes 2 FREE event tickets, plus a Lantern and Survival Pack. Please let us know if you will be using both complimentary tickets. Additional tickets can be purchased separately.
  • Métis Workshops: Join the Métis Salve-Making Workshop (July 23) or the Métis Watercolour Workshop (August 21) Cabin guests receive 2 FREE tickets; additional tickets are available for purchase.

Capacity: Please note that cabins A1 to A4 have a maximum capacity of 2 people (double bed). Cabin B6 has a maximum capacity of 6 people (two bunk beds plus a double pullout sofa). All other B cabins have a maximum capacity of 4 people (queen bed with double pullout sofa).

Availability varies by season: Available 7 days a week from May 2 to September 6. We look forward to expanding availability for the fall and winter! Keep checking our website for details.

Late bookings: If you book after 5 p.m. for the same night, please note that wood or campfire supplies will be delivered the following day.
